I wrote this in September, but I actually almost lost it, if not for the fact that i wrote it on stream. I didn't want to go through the effort of re-creating it on stream though so I just moved on to making another song, but I did eventually go back and finish this.
Funny how the first few tracks started out as me trying to make one genre and then them turning into something else, and that's the same with this (and the next one). This was an attempt at lo-fi hip-hop, and again, clearly it isn't that, but it'st still interesting.
Also I called this "Yeah, Okay" initially because the ending just ended up being nearly identical to the chorus for "Okay" off my last album, so to really hammer that home, I took the chorus vocals from that song and put some filters on them and put them really quiet in the background, and then when I was finally writing lyrics for this, I just naturally ended up writing the line "Yeah, Okay" in the song, so that as pretty epic.
lyrics
Yeah, sure
Say that I'm not trying
Despite what I
Did the other day
Oh sure
Say that I'm just lying
Not like this
All matters anyway
Yeah, okay
I didn't try as hard
As I should
But I still worked today
Just not as much
As I should
But I'll keep on trying
Anyway
I keep on
Hating myself
For some reason
But I can get help
Yeah, okay
I guess it's not so bad
But I still
Don't wanna work today
These pills ain't helping
That much
So why keep taking them?
Instead I'll touch
